Prime Minister @narendramodi had reviewed the #NEP2020 for which draft was prepared by a panel of experts led by former Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) chief K Kasturirangan. The NEP 2020 aims at making “India a global knowledge superpower”. https://www.hindustantimes.com/education/new-education-policy-2020-live-updates-important-takeaways/story-yYm1QaeNyFW4uTTU3g9bJO.html
. @narendramodi said the policy is based on pillars of “access, equity, quality, affordability, accountability” & will help transform India into a “vibrant knowledge hub”. “Framing of NEP will be remembered as a shining example of participative governance.” https://indianexpress.com/article/education/new-education-policy-2020-live-updates-cabinet-approves-nep-ramesh-pokhriyal-prakash-javadekar-6529139/
THE New National Education Policy focuses on overhauling the school curriculum, with “reformed” Board exams, a reduction in the syllabus to retain “core essentials” and a thrust on “experiential learning and critical thinking”.

Exams in grades 3, 5, 8 will test achievement of basic learning outcomes & application of knowledge in real-life situations.
