I reckon revolutionary Derbyshire mill owner Joseph Arkwright wd be thrilled that Ian Jackson has opened up his excellent comic/SF Cromford Collectors Corner in one of his workshops. (Also on Facebook)
Also all hail to Ian’s dad who made the K-9 and steampunk Dalek out of bits of: a walking stick, a bird feeder, bike lights & light fittings. I emerged with a wonderful haul of goodies..
Ian is a trained archaeologist so got to ask him loads about my morning trip to the wonderful Arbor Low - the Stonehenge of the North; the stones knocked down, it’s thought, by fearful medieval locals. If I had a tardis I’d go to the Neolithic age. So many mysteries..
Walked across the dam mumsplaining the premise of the Carling Black Label dam busters ad to the young adults in my company. It’s STILL funny.
