I seem to watch different pressers to the gallery. To me, Morrison appears bug-eyed and frantic, gulping air, stumbling over rushed words. Bullying and controlling, he shouts over prople to promote his message to voters rather than provide information. https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2020/aug/08/scott-morrison-appearing-unruffled-at-a-podium-isnt-enough-to-bring-calm-to-a-crisis
he blustered and blundered into the call for a virus origin inquiry which the EU could have done, or the US do its own dirty work, causing Chinese tariff retaliation and an uptick in racist attacks on Chinese Australians.
And is praised for... being less Trumpian than Trump.

the most notorious intangible in all economics is confidence, which Morrison mentions at almost every press conference, because economic figures are his top priority. And confidence is a Humpty Dumpty (ad verecumdium) variable, it means whatever (the powerful) want it to mean.
and the hardy #ScottySplain they all have on repeater, that he is growing in the job. This is wrong. EG Morrison wanted all borders open everywhere for the economy. His jerky ideological moves are causing complications, inefficiencies, anxiety, delays - all unnecessary costs.
PvO makes essentially this point about the failure of national leadership too. We would be waaaay worse off if the Premiers did not override Morrison. Their public health decisions are ultimately the only way back to “economic health” anyway. If capitalism is your thing.
