The TSA board members & some part of leadership of TFTSG is guilty of this. Eg. photo of the email from 2018 from one of their board members. They only view valid concern of women as human social drama thus denying us of our lived realities. #TSA2020 https://twitter.com/HellbenderHecht/status/1027751225448689664?s=20
If any of these people are your grant reviewers, you need to reconsider it. Many women have repeatedly spoken out regarding the abuse & harassment they have faced at the TSA confs & their field sites. And the TSA has remained silent showing disdain towards these issues #TSA2020
Such organisations routinely also engage in harassment, bullying and microaggressions towards women who speak up.

So dear funding agencies @CLPawards @MbzSpeciesFund @DTCouncil @ruffordgrants @OfficialZSL, if any of TSA people are your grant reviewers, please reconsider. Especially if they are reviewing grant proposals written by women.
While you may say that the reviewing process is blind & fair, its v easy to find out who has written that proposal since there are handful of freshwater turtle researchers, especially in developing countries. #TSA2020.
