THREAD - 5 more comments on the recent NYC DSA questionnaire: https://twitter.com/zackfinknews/status/1294054891464413187
- We thank the NYC elected officials & community leaders who spoke out against this display of bigotry against Israel. This diverse group of leaders represents what makes the unique relationship between New York and Israel strong and enduring.
- For many decades NYC officials and other leaders had traveled to Israel to learn about the reality there. During these visits, they engaged with Israeli Jews, Israeli Arabs and Palestinians to form their own opinions.
- These opportunities for direct constructive conversations are critical to our solid relationship. We at @IsraelinNewYork welcome the opportunity to engage in these dialogues, as this represents the best way to build bridges & understanding.
- Just this week we’ve seen the fruits of such dialogue with the normalizing of relations between Israel & the United Arab Emirates. The Abraham Accords represent emerging voices from the region that are choosing peace, direct engagement & cooperation over bigotry, fear &hatred.
- If direct dialogue and cooperation can happen between Israelis & Arabs, including Palestinians, today in the Middle East, it should not be prevented here in NY.
