This year marks the end of an era in Football, the era which we grow up with.
In this thread I'm going to explain why I think this.

1) Ronaldo and Messi can't be called the best players in the world by far. Yes, they might be up there but you can't say that no one comes close.
Now it's time to appreciate them, we probably never see any rivalry like this again.

2) The end of Pep's reign, and the posession-based football.
It's easy to see that all dominant teams use Klopp's high-pressing tactics, like Bayern.
This tactic points out all of the posession-based football's weaknesses, like in the Barcelona - Bayern game.

3) Barcelona
A team, which dominated Europe and Spain for more than 10 years, it's really hard to see their downfall.
But, it's happening in front of our eyes, and if the board doesn't do anything against it, we're going to see AC Milan's story again.

4) Players like Marcelo, Modric, Neuer aren't the best in their positions now. The younger players have overtaken them, and now these legends are approaching retirement as their successors are getting better.
