This take sucks for (at least) 2 reasons:
1) implies that most people aren't already in circles with varying political views. A friend group of all leftists is still gonna disagree often

Me having (respectful and productive) debates with friends and peers about how to best engage the inherently corrupt electoral process, or how funds would best be used upon defunding police, does not register as differing political views for folks like this
They really just want us to coddle racists and other bigots because they don't have the fortitude to cut off the bigots in their own lives

Another thing about it is, this is directed at ppl who are politically left of center...at least 99.3% of the time
...which erases that conservatives are no more "tolerant" towards differing views. The amount of "friends" who cut me off when I'd assert that racism exists...lol
