200+ people marching to the PPA building tonight. Chant "What do we want? Justice. When do we want it? Now! If we don't get it? Burn it down!"
The boards on the PPA building are getting a fresh coat of spray paint. Demonstrators have blocked two intersections of Lombard, but so far not much else is happening.
Close up of some of the graffiti.
Most of the crowd is chanting on Lombard Street. But around the corner a small group appears to have hopped a fence & smashed a PPA window. At least one person was inside the building taking things. I heard someone ask if people want some raffle tickets. Also handing out hats.
Patriot Prayer's Joey Gibson is here. Some in the crowd were yelling, "Don't touch him." Also I hear the LRAD warning people not to engage in criminal activity.
Police checking side of the building that was damaged. Crowd approaches officers.
People were shining flashlights at officers and telling them to quit their jobs...
When officers retreated, I saw at least one small object get thrown toward them. Police let off what I think was just smoke after that. Then someone grabbed one of the cannisters and ran back toward the crowd which seemed like a weird thing to do.
The shattered window on the backside of PPA.
Demetria Hester leading "Fu** the police" chants/song.
Crowd pretty quiet right now. Here's the roadblock at Lombard and Denver.
Letha Winston (mother of Patrick Kimmons, who was killed by police in 2018) showed up. She thanked people for being here, but doesn't like the "party" atmosphere. Trying to convince crowd to march in residential areas.

"Wake up the neighbors!"
After Winston finished speaking, the crowd seemed ready to march. They only made it a few yards before they hit the pause button to debate locations and whether or not everyone is on board with marching.
I just left the area by PPA. Most of the crowd declined to march. Hester continued leading chants, but the group was down to 50-75 people by the time I left. Mostly hanging out by 7-Eleven or eating Heavenly Donuts.
