Those students who have got grades that they may not have earned via the one shot non the day exam system will still have to nail job interviews, perform in their jobs, work hard. They’ve passed one of the first hurdles not the last.
It isn’t going to ruin the jobs market or hugely disadvantage other years. 2020 has a huge red line under it. Whatever option the govt would take the results were never going to be the same as in other years.

Clearly a number of unfair decisions were made in the creation of the algorithm, crap data fed into it and crap data came out of it.
This whole situation is a mess and there was no good options after the disastrous decision not to hold exams.
The situation was made worse because this government is dire. So eventually they’ve been forced into an imperfect option, but at least done that doesn’t screw over disadvantaged students.
2020 is the year of the pandemic. Thousands of died and thre economy is going down the toilet. This really isn’t going to be a big a deal as you think. It’s not great, but literally nothing is right now. Get over it.
