Since the release of FPL for the 20/21 season, I’ve been recieving quite a few DMs and tweets with questions regarding Wolves assets. 🐺

In this thread, I’ll discuss each Wolves asset and my thoughts on them - and answer some of the questions that people frequently ask.
RUI PATRICIO:

At 5.5m, Rui offers you a solid amount of clean sheets throughout the season.

Nothing more, though.

Very rarely do you see him get a save point or bonuses, so I think at this price he’s not worth the extra 1m over a Ryan or McCarthy.

Avoid. ❌
BOLY/SAÏSS/COADY:

A solid end of the season from the Wolves backline means that people are considering investing in one of these three.

Boly’s aerial threat and him being a BPS magnet means that he’s been priced 0.5m more than the other two.

Coady is an avoid for me...
He basically never comes out of his half and doesn’t offer enough to justify his price tag.

- Is Boly worth the extra 0.5?

I think with the amount of premiums this year, paying 5m for either of these, let alone 5.5, is pointless.

Especially when you...
... have such good 4.5m options this year.

Conclusion: Avoid all three, get fullbacks instead. (Boly the best of the three though)

JONNY:

Injured - avoid obviously.

Will be a good differential one he’s returned if the fixtures are good I think.
VINAGRE:

Doesn’t seem like Wolves will sign a fullback this year, meaning we will see Ruben replace Jonny at LWB.

His attacking threat is brilliant and pretty similar to Doherty, meaning that at 4.5m he is almost a no-brainer for me.
DOHERTY:

Vinagre becoming an option has meant that Doc is becoming criminally overlooked this year.

As the highest scoring defender last year other than the Liverpool boys, Doherty offers that sense of security in your team, and is a player that you will most likely...
... keep for the whole season.

- DOHERTY OR VINAGRE?

Personally, I believe that Vinagre’s price means he slightly edges it for me, especially considering the fact that his attacking threat is similar to Doc’s.

If you have the money, then Doherty is a brilliant differential.
I believe that Doc could come 2nd in defenders in 20/21 and compete with the Liverpool boys.

Still undecided on them? Have a read of @FPLTIPZ’s post about them! Offers a much more detailed comparison.

Conclusion: Both brilliant options. Depends on how much money you have. ✅ https://twitter.com/fpltipz/status/1295427775583723521
MOUTINHO/NEVES:

As we move onto the midfield, I don’t think I need to justify saying that these two aren’t really options to consider.

Fairly valued but much better options at the 5.5m price.

Conclusion: Avoid ❌
JOTA:

I don’t think many would have considered Jota if he was still a striker, but his position change back to a mid has meant some are opting to get him in.

Podence and Neto have been rotating with him regularly and his position in the starting XI is far from nailed.
I don’t think he is a great option for this year and I’d much rather Foden at that price!

He has the potential for a big haul and loves an occasional brace, but he won’t start every match so I don’t think he’s worth it.

Conclusion: Wait and see who Nuno prefers.
PODENCE:

After being given a tidy price tag of 5.5m, Podence looks like a great differential if you are looking for an attacking output from Wolves that your rivals don’t own.

As mentioned earlier, he definitely isn’t nailed but I think he’s preffered over Jota in that role.
Conclusion: Good differential, won’t always start.

NETO:

He’s a baller but won’t get enough minutes to justify 5.5m.
I think it’s a pretty similar scenario with Podence.

Conclusion: Another decent differential, but I prefer Podence!
TRAORÉ:

A shoulder problem meant that Adama was benched quite frequently towards the end of last season and has put many off him this year.

However, if this problem is resolved, he could be a great asset this year.

It appears that our signature goal last season was...
... Adama assisting Jimenez, and I think that will continue this year unless drastic changes happen in regard to transfers.

That being said his 6.5m pricetag is significantly more than last season and (as much as I hate to say it) I believe those funds could be spent on more...
... valuable assets somewhere else.

Conclusion: One to consider if a good fixture run appears. Better option and more nailed that the other mids.

JIMÉNEZ:

Raul is a great option this year. Considering the fact that he managed 17 goals last season whilst also...
... competing in Europe is quite impressive.

With all focus being on the league this year, I could see him get 20+ goals, and even compete for the golden boot.

At 8.5, he’s sort of in that awkward not-premium-but-not-that-cheap price range.
Martial, Ings and Werner are all assets with a similar price, and are all capable of 20+ goal seasons.

Conclusion: Our talisman, when Wolves score, he scores. Great asset ✅
End of thread.

Bare in mind I wrote this at about 1am and it’s very brief, just my own thoughts on Wolves assets.

But hopefully it’s been slightly helpful and has cleared a couple things up for you!
