To the white people begging Black, Indigenous, and Brown people to vote against Trump this November:
1. Are you also begging your Daddy, Mama, siblings, Aunt Agnes, Uncle Jake, cousins Cody and Caitlin, and all your high school friends who grew up to remain horrible to vote against Trump THIS TIME, since they were the ones who voted for him before?
2. Have you done any work whatsoever to ensure that the Black, Indigenous, and Brown people you’re shaming and harassing have safe and secure access to the polls?
Are you aware that for SOME Black, Indigenous, and Brown people, being asked to vote for the frying pan over the fire is not as simple as nodding and saying “Yessa, Massa!” The decision is a traumatic one and requires intense thought and consideration. Allow us that.
When we do vote and attempt to save the world from white destruction once again, are you going to keep forgetting what we’re owed like you have for every election prior, and continue to allow our human rights to be questioned?
It’s never us who reneges on the deal; it’s always you.
P.S. Are you doing anything to stop your people from helping Trump cheat?
It’s never us who reneges on the deal; it’s always you.
(This does not apply to Black, Indigenous, and Brown people debating and discussing amongst our own communities.)
