(1/8) - In crypto your team MUST keep their heads above water and pay attention to what is happening. This space moves too fast - if you don't pay attention you will build something that no one wants to use. Some lessons from $YAMS, $YFI, $SNX, $CRV, and $COMP:
(2/8) - $YAMS - Say what you will, but @YamFinance got more attention in a week than most protocols get in a year. There is so much to learn here about human psychology, game theory, and marketing with memes.
(3/8) - $YFI - Whatever you were thinking about governance for your protocol, is out of date since @iearnfinance launched. Their community forums and votes will show you what grassroots governance looks like. (Also - the best way to build a community is to make them rich)
(4/8) - $SNX - @synthetix_io relentlessly tests new ways to use the token and the protocol by incentivizing integrations with other protocols like @BalancerLabs, @CurveFinance , and @UniswapProtocol
(5/8) - $CRV - How to avoid regulators 😉 @CurveFinance
(6/8) - $COMP - @compoundfinance started the liquidity mining craze. Months ago no one was doing this. Now EVERYONE is doing it. It changed everyones game plan.
(7/8) - What can teams do looking forward? One of the most important decisions over the next 6 months will be, what protocols decide to move to layer 2, or to an ethereum competitor.
(8/8) - Every team should be working on a scaling plan right now. And they should be ready to pivot at a moments notice.
(9) - No one knows if Near, Solana, or a layer 2 will win. But you don't need to predict the winner to be successful. You just need to make sure you can pivot your project to the latest and greatest idea that is gaining traction in this space
