got a lot of dms questioning the alternative and the underlying problem when asking “well what do i do instead of vote?” is that people want simple answers to addressing a complicated disaster and that’s not something any of us can provide
i can tell you to find organizers in your communities and find out what issues must be adressed there, i can tell you to keep protesting, i can tell you to join a socialist org, to read and learn from the radicals before us + help carry on this tradition of resistance to fascism
i can also tell you to either arm yourself or learn how to use a gun if you cannot carry. if this presents a danger to yourself, learn how to provide first aid. if you can’t do this, donate resources—time, money, to those who have been preparing for a long time for the inevitable
the problems we will face in the years to come are not problems that will be solved by voting, they won’t be lessened through what you perceive to be “harm reduction” when in reality it will be more of the same under the guise of pragmatism if biden were to win, which is unlikely
what i can tell you is try to prepare yourself (your friends & your family) both physically and mentally for what is looming above our heads.
