Made from shields and spears, where the fallen warriors drink and feast with the Gods whilst they wait for Ragnarock.

It's been said that Odin decides who goes to Valhalla.
So simply dying in battle may not be enough to get you in.
So the question is how do you get into Valhalla?

This question has been bothering me for a while.
But then I watched @Philosophi_Cat 's amazing video,

And then I got my answer.

In EP 9 of the series, @Philosophi_Cat talks about how mere mortals from other ancient cultures made it to the Kingdom of the Gods.
It appears that only a select few actually make it.

These people have been through the ancient Rites.
They have gone within.
They've conquered their lower selves and primitive urges.
They know have to navigate the afterlife because in a sense,
They've already made the journey via meditation.

May I bring your attention back to the Viking bucket I discussed in my Odin thread.
So we can safely assume our Germanic and Nordic ancestors believed in such spiritual practices.

My theory is that the warriors who made it to Valhalla,
Are the ones who have already been there before during a meditation session.
Maybe Odin picks the Warriors who have already conquered self whilst they were on earth.

To me it makes sense.
The Germanic and Nordic warriors had a reputation of being fearless in battle.
Maybe they were fearless because they knew without any doubt;
that death is not the end.
But rather the start of another great journey.

In times of peace.
You need to show Odin you are worthy of Valhalla by conquering your lower self.
Put down the porn.
Control hunger.
Give up the greed.
When you meditate, go deeper and truly detach from self.
Learn the ancient Rites as much as possible.

Do not cling to this life or get sucked in to the day to day.
And most importantly.
Do not fear death.
My attitude towards deaths is.
If you can conquer the fear of death and you can conquer life.
Take up the battle.
And I'll see you in Valhalla!
