~a thread about JK's songwriting & recording skills~
2014 - Jungkook discusses how hard he worked on composing a song and that he hopes it will be released as an Outro on the new album.
: "The song is slowly picking up its perfection."

Released in April 2015, Outro : Love is Not Over - a song Jungkook composed and produced together with Jin, Slow Rabbit & Pdogg. He is credited for both the lyrics and production on this track.
: "This song's melody is very similar to Jungkook's style."

August, 2015: Hobi catches JK working on a beat on his tablet. So cute.
Jungkook used to have all of his songwriting equipment in his room at the dorm before he got his own studio. He literally made his entire bedroom into a studio complete with keyboards, guitar & a drum set. Dedication
: "I'm always recording. I want to make good songs for you."

Jungkook finally got a studio in late 2017. I'm so glad they got him his own studio because that means they recognised him as one of the promising producers/songwritiers in the group (which he also proved to be up to that point).
In 2018, Jungkookie wrote Magic Shop for which he is credited as both the co-writer and the co-producer.
He explained that the concept of the song was meant as a safe haven for all ARMYs that need escape from their daily reality.

It was never confirmed if this was about Jungkook or not but I believe it is....Jimin and Joon fanboying over a great song he's written.
: "The song is amazing. Have you heard it?"
: "I think I was the first one who heard it."

Namjoon talks about the process of writing the lyrics for "My Time" together with Jungkook. He found the guide to be quite strange (same tbh) and hard to work on melodically and lyrically.
: "I believe we were able to make this song work ONLY because of Jungkook's capability."

Jungkook recorded the guide for Yoongiβs solo mixtape track βDear My Friendβ - he sang the vocal part that was later given to Kim Jongwan who was the vocalist on the final version of this track.
Jungkook talked about the inspiration behind "Still With You" which is a song he wrote as a thank you to ARMYs before the BTS 2020 FESTA celebration. In the ending ment he talked about how much he misses performing and how he hopes he will soon meet fans again.
Jungkook even talked about the writing process of "Still With You" during an episode of DJ Suga's Honey FM.
He included the process itself in the lyrics:
"With no light in this dark room
I shouldn't get used to it
The low-pitched sound of this air conditioner"

JK discussing the lyrics for "Still With You" with Namjoon while driving...
The lyrics in the final song:
"That moon looks lonely
Feels like it's crying in the bright night sky
Even though I knew it was going to be morning one day
I wanted to stay in your sky like a star."

Your Eyes Tell was supposed to be a song on JK's mixtape but it was submitted as a possible OST for a movie. JK re-wrote the lyrics in Japanese after reading the script & watching the rough edit of the movie. The director liked the song so much he included it in the movie itself.
Isn't this the most accurate description of Jungkook ever?
: "He starts everything at an above-average level. Composing, writing lyrics, singing, filming,...."

My favourite video on the planet - watching JK record Euphoria. He is so meticulous and such a perfectionist, he never settles for "good enough". He really pours his soul into every song and refines it until it's full of his amazing adlibs & harmonies. https://twitter.com/MadeInBusan1/status/1258820744341082112
"He is able to understand the producer's vision and expressing it through his vocal ability."
Slow Rabbit once said that Jungkook had sung the guide version of βI Like Itβ and it had such good vibe that he still listens to JK's version when he's driving home.
I wish we could hear that recording some day...

Jungkook experiments with so many different genres and styles, I'm really interested about his future musical projects. He always delivers something unexpected.
