IMPORTANT THREAD; It’s come to our attention that there have been incidents of a minority of people flushing, playing bird song & disturbing the #WarrenFarm wryneck these last few days for photos. Pls take note; here are the reasons why these behaviours can be harmful...
The wryneck will be Scandinavian & needs as much time feeding as it can get to lay down fat for the next migration which will take it to Iberia. If continually disturbed during his time here it will lessen his chances, it’s therefore something we don’t want to see or encourage...
As exciting as it is to have the chance to see this beautiful rare bird, pls can we ask - be mindful & respect its space & presence, putting the interests of the wryneck first. It is a photo for you but it could be the difference between life & death for the wryneck. Thank you 🕊
