Since Centrist is popping up on my TL so often, I get a feeling that most people who are calling out Centrists mistake them for moderates. Centrists are pragmatists. Basically very Bertrand Russell "I am not willing to die for my beliefs because I might be wrong" type 1/5

They'd rather look for solutions based on evidence not ideology. This bunch of people is actually more independent than you expect them to be. They don't have LW/RW family. They don't have a Kunba, no group they sing Kumbaya with. Each Centrist is different from the other. 2/5
They don't think about doing what is popular but rather what is right. Like in this case one act of pettiness feeds into the martyr complex and amplifies the story she has been telling all this while. It is not about gender, it is not about who is the bigger victim. 3/5
For a Centrist it's about getting the job done. It's not definitely not about compromise. It's about living fulfilled, independent lives in a society that is not perpetually locked into a battle of wills between the RW and Left. It is actually closer to libertarian moralism. 4/5
Centrists actually don't care for moderates at all & absolutely hate the miasma of martyrdom that LW/RW sometimes indulge in. Also you will never meet an Centrist with an evangelical zeal trying to convert you saying he is the word of God and 'apres moi le deluge' . 5/5
