Debunking the MYTH that Ronaldo is a statpadder for Portugal.

As we know, European teams play more qualifiers, hence Ronaldo’s numbers against low ranked teams are high.

BUT, what people won’t mention is that Ronaldo scores BY FAR the most goals vs big teams in TOURNAMENTS.

As we can see from the graphic above, in tournaments, no current player is close to Ronaldo in terms of scoring against big teams.

Some people use this picture WITHOUT CONTEXT. Let me show you why this is wrong.

This picture shows Messi has 5 goals against Brazil and Uruguay. In reality, all 5 goals vs Brazil are from friendlies. 4 goals vs Uruguay are from friendlies, 1 from qualifiers. 0 in tournaments.

Lionel Messi has NEVER scored vs a good (top 20) team in an international tournament, yet his fans call Ronaldo a statpadder
