I was thinking earlier, I really didn’t know about Christian music until I got into it.

I never heard cross movement until I was 19 by then I was hearing old albums.

The first time I heard crae was when @GAWVI produced for him and we were listening to the songs at @ButtaP stu

My first experience was actually when my mom threw out my Eminem and Dre Cds ...Even tossed my wild Wild West soundtrack

anyway being the good mom she took me to a store called Jacobs ladder in Margate for good clean music. They had a list on the wall of comparable artists.

I saw :

If you like Eminem , you will like Kj52 7th ave. So I got that album. I was like yoooo this man could rap. Loved it.

From there deep space 5, mars ill, Playdough, all those guys were now in the mix. Didn’t think it was Christian rap just enjoyed the music.

Then I kinda went MIA, until G showed me this whole other world. Then at that time I loved R-Swift and thisl.

Thisl had the hardest beats, and Rswift had the best songs. Actually G produced 2 songs on there and I was like yooo he’s dope. “On My block” and “sunshine”

I knew Rhema Soul and they would take me to all these shows and I would always get into trouble. Hehe.

I just got saved so I didn’t know the “Christian” etiquette lol

at that time being reformed was EVERYTHING. They would have crazy debates backstage.

Man I loved those rhema soul days WAY ahead of their time and not appreciated but don’t worry they all are KILLING IT NOW

Anyways, I remember when I started making music I hated debating about my beliefs. I always felt like it wasn’t in good nature, it was more about being right

I remember when social club first dropped our ep. man we were so hated on. Like HATE. I remember I actually called someone bc he hated me so much and at the end of the call I was like...we got no where. Godbless

SCMGWP was first, then Misfits 1&2 ...people were ruthless then bc they would just tell you straight up no anime avatar. Real people saying you’re trash

then Summer of George ...this was before DMs on Instagram so people would just post it publicly under the photo lol

Sorry just reminiscing.

Ok so then after summer of George we got everyone’s attention.

Boom we hit them with misfits 2 (typo before) and that album made us full time. Changed out life.

Then we were like holy cow let’s do a quick follow up. That was US album.

Then Marty for prez & 68 and Douglas our solo eps.

That was a wild time. Wow. Good times.

Then we had 6 labels offer us deals...

Sony in NYC, They took great care of us. (Passed)

Eone where we made some friends, and I got into a argument with the president lol (passed)

Atlantic (passed)

Word. Passed. (It wasn’t IVAV then)

Captiol CMG

Another Christian label. (Passed.)

Respectfully.

The only reason Captiol wanted to talk was bc Nate told his A&R about us and they loved it.

We signed bc the team was bomb and Nate was killing it. We figured let’s take a shot. (The deal was we own our masters type of deal. )

It was rough. So much pressure. We had old songs and we just wanted to announce we were signed we put out “the misfit generation” which we should of never put out. Too quick, and we wanted acceptance so bad from the industry. Captiol CMG made us legit.

That was a rough lesson. big L. Project did bad, also dropped when drake views dropped. Wow a mess. Got rejected from every placement bc drake got it all

So then we said screw it, we can’t be put in a box...then misadventures came out.

People gave us the worst reviews. But now everytime I speak to a fan they tell me it’s their fav album

Then boom “into the night” we wanted to do latin stuff with more hiphop tones.

We won our first dive for war cry.

From there I wanted to change how people saw us. We made Mood//doom.

I got to produce on it, when I was on the friends & fam tour I started making beats on the road so it felt good to get my credits up. Progress.

Then Marty for pres 2 - songs I had sitting in my computer since jan 19 I wanted to get out so bad.

I’m glad I did. Talk to God. No discounts. Emo trl song & especially one about the misfit 2 needed to come out ASAP. Cause I was about to delete.

Now the next project “feared by hell” is coming. I got prod credits on 8-9 songs and I wrote so much during quarantine. it’s a very Christian album tbh

Wow almost forgot rejects. That was a big deal bc it was the first paid project after doing so many free mixtapes

anyway I legit have blackouts from my past, maybe trauma or lack of rest on the road for years. So I forget alotttttt. But man we’ve came along way.
