The woman behind this successful team.
Kathleen Krüger joined Bayern in 2003. She was promoted to the first team after one year with the reserves.

She played 33 games in the German top flight and scored one goal.

She decided to hung up her boots at the age of 24.
"I only got pocket money for all the effort"
Kathleen studied International Management from 2009.

When Christian Nerlinger was appointed as sporting director, he was looking for an assistant.

Hoeness contacted Kathleen, she completed a three-month application procedure, and she got the job.
Kathleen Krüger was promoted to 'Team Manager' with Matthias Sammer. She is responsible for all the organizational procedures

She is the only woman in Germany with a position like that in a football club.

"Being able to work in my sport at my club is like hitting the jackpot."
Kathleen is in charge of coordinating travels, diets, trainings, marketing and any other needs for the players and coaching staff.

She is available for the players at any time, seven days a week.

"I'd never complain. I like my job far too much for that."
Flick thanked Kathleen for his amazing job during the lockdown because of the pandemic. She was keeping track of all the players, making sure they had everything to complete their trainings and their diets.

As a result, all the players returned in great shape.
When winning the Bundesliga, Hansi Flick was asked how they were going to celebrate, and Hansi said: "I don't know, we'll see what Kathleen let us do and what not."

And when winning the UCL, while the players were celebrating, she was making sure everything stay in order.
Kathleen is the only person outside the squad to belong to the team's WhatsApp group.

She messages the group daily to communicate information to the players.

"Obviously there are jokes and lots of funny images sent around, but my lips are sealed!"
Kathleen Krüger has been the Team Manager for 10 years. She has her own office on the second floor of the training complex, where the players pass by several times a day.

"We all have the same goal, to be professional in our work and be successful."
