And let me answer your likely questions before you ask.
1. It’s the biggest airline in South America. Over 300 planes
2. I’ll be based in Santiago but working remotely for a while, given that the offices are not open (thanks Covid)
3. I loved Santiago when I visited and I’m excited for an adventure
4. My kids are older and not coming with me but I hope they all visit
5. It’s a great company and I am excited to start
6. Given that Spanish is not my native language I probs won’t be annoying my team with copy edits so that’s good for them
7. I had a great time working for Norwegian and I’m optimistic about their path
8. I’ll certainly keep a place in CT but not sure how often I’ll be here
9. Yes it’s a long commute home but it’s redeye both ways and ore or less same time zone.
10. I KNOW! Let’s just say, I hope my VPN works because I want to see every game Cam Newton plays this year
11. Courtesy of @BCHigh I do speak ok Spanish but it’s going to get a whole lot better. (However autocorrect is even more annoying when it tries to correct my badly typed English into Spanish)
