This is in regards to that troll the other day calling you out for your "hairstyle".

This may be an unpopular film, but I don't care. It meant a great deal to me. When I first saw, G.I. Jane, in the 90's, it was life altering for me. I was coming fresh off a...
suicide attempt, was bullied horrifically, and felt trapped and suffocated by the oppression of my sexuality, and the harassment that resulted from it. The moment Demi Moore grabbed those clippers, and started to buzz her hair off, it affected me deeply. Very inspired, I paused..
that moment of the film, grabbed my clippers, and shaved my entire head. As a man, in that moment, I can say it was one of the most freeing moments of my life. As a woman, though, I can imagine this moment for you is my feelings times a million. Liberation, freedom, releasing...
the oppression caused by society's warped views of women/beauty. Too many hide behind their hair. It could be the misogynistic ideology that has brainwashed certain women, like her, who feel the need to make a derogatory comment about a BRAVE AND POWERFUL woman freeing herself..
Or, it could be a societal mindset that makes those women think hair is the only thing that makes them powerful. But at the end of the day, it's YOUR body, and you can alter it to however you see fit. Intelligence, pride, passion, bravery, and the endless talents of women..
Makes a woman special. Makes you beautiful. Makes you brave as fuck. NOT HAIRSTYLES. But my, how you totally rock the fuck out of that cut!!

Be YOU always. Fuck everyone else's unimportant opinions regarding something as unimportant as superficial beauty.

Besides, some of the greatest women in history have your exact hairstyle and they have revolutionized the fuck out of this world, and rocked it off its' foundation. What was once deemed punishment for speaking and standing against the status quo, it now also honors those women.

As you can see, @MelitaWhite is in some mighty fine company throughout this thread, and as a friend, I'm endlessly inspired and empowered by her greatness, equally as much as I am inspired and empowered by these human beings depicted in my thread!
