i just wanna start by saying this thread wont include everything about adhd because there is simply too much for me to write. i would also like to state that this thread is going to be based off of my experiences with my adhd, i am in no way generalising symptoms of adhd.
people with adhd might:
- struggle to listen and pay attention.
- need constant reminders in order to get simple tasks done.
- get distracted very easily.
- be disorganized and lose things frequently.
- do things that they shouldn't, even though they know better.

whilst adhd has no cure or a quick fix there are many things that may help to ease the everyday symptoms of adhd.

- therapists can help people with adhd learn attention skills, cope with feelings and gain self control. therapy can often help people with adhd see the best in themselves and figure out how to use adhd to their strength.
what is the cause of adhd:
- adhd is caused by differences in the brain's ability to pay attention, slow down and be patient. although it is not completely understood why someone may have adhd there is very common patterns and it is likely that adhd follows through in genes.

- adhd is not caused by eating too much sugar or by poor diet, as commonly believed. although these things may intensify symptoms and cause hyperactive spells.
we may put off doing small, necessary tasks for periods of time just because they simply seem and feel way too hard. something as simple as washing up can seem like the most challenging thing. many people don't understand this and perceive people with adhd as being lazy.
hyperfocus:
many people with adhd experience something called hyperfocus. this is where we focus intensely on something for a short period of time without any breaks and forget about anything else. whilst doing this we do not process what is going on around us, often losing
