Otherwise, there is no accountability, there is no clear public record. These instances are verifiable and should be covered. How else do you change this massively disgusting industry? By quietly messaging each other and benefiting from this violence in your career and life?
By secretly whispering while writing laudatory articles? Twitter conversations aren't permanent, I delete mine all the time. If you want to do something useful and beneficial to this world you supposedly care about, start by doing this work.
The fixation/fascination over the Business Techno world I would argue is partly because people are desperately trying to not have to look at themselves, their scene and their friends too closely. Get over that, otherwise you're enabling people to continue this behavior & culture.
Here's 500 articles on the ethics and morality of theoretical 'rave plagues' but please don't make me think about all these instances of sexual violence committed by people you know well, can't be digging into those morals or ethics, huh?
This has been really aggravating to see once again. Twitter or social media posts about these things aren't enough. And that this barely is getting attention, given, lets be honest, the huge number of instances of sexual violence in the last 6 months being revealed... well?
The number of u who have climbed into my DM's to get credible/verified information abt abusers/misogynists/racists and rapists &then sat on that because of your career or your publisher being too financially ensnared with the subject? That's on you, I'm done with this occurring.
