Let's say you and the boys are planning a bro-trip overseas to go and watch the Man United vs. Liverpool match.

Now that exchange in currencies from SA Rand's to British Pounds makes use of something called a Foreign Exchange Rate between South Africa (ZAR) and the United Kingdom (GBP).
And this foreign exchange rate (or Forex rate) is continuously changing throughout the day, (5/14)

week, month and year, and these price fluctuations are then visualized on a chart, the GBPZAR currency chart.
Forex traders can then use this chart to perform market analysis on and determine with a certain degree of accuracy, (6/14)

the likely direction for the Forex rate to move to in the near future!
And then they can either buy or sell this Forex rate using a Forex broker to connect them to the Forex markets.(7/14)

If their analysis is correct, they profit and get to watch more live football matches with the boys, but if their analysis is wrong, they lose money and it's 2-minute noodles for a week (just kidding, this is where Risk management comes in!)(8/14)
So that in essence is how Forex trading works!
