I have been DYING to talk about this chapter kacchako fam and what it could mean for our ship! 
But I’ve got to voice my frustrations with this chapter first...

Toga and Uraraka’s fight was literally over a DOLL. Of course, I’m not going to leave it just at that as this thread goes on, but honestly this is where I got really upset.
Hero’s. Are. Dying.

People need help escaping, and Toga and Ochako are having a boy talk (Toga is having the boy talk) and fighting over a doll.
It’s upsetting because we all had high hopes for Ochako to kick some butt, but... that just didn’t happen.

This is why I’m so split on this chapter.
One part of me is disappointed that her “fight” turned into something about Deku again, but the other part of me is very happy that this chapter happened because... well...

It reavealed Ochako’s feelings are going away, or better yet, they’re gone.

This chapter made me grateful for Toga’s insightful personality!
This moment right here was where it clicked for Toga.

She figured it out.
Toga’s not stupid. She’s very smart and observant as we’ve seen several times, especially when it comes to Ochako.

Also, figuratively, when Ochako says she would never be elated about dropping someone to their death. “Death” here symbolizes her dropping the doll.

The AM doll represents Ochako’s feelings for Deku.
In essence, Ochako dropped her feelings for Deku to their “death”.
Again, Toga starts to realize this as she squints at that All Might doll.

Side note, this is the SECOND time Ochako has dropped the AM doll and made a big deal out of, and even on the first time people were already theorizing that Ochako was going to lose her feelings for Deku.

Here’s the cold hard truth, Ochako never had a true “crush” on Deku.
It was admiration at it’s best, just like it was for Deku to All Might.
People told her how to feel about her feelings and teased her. (Looking at you Aoyoma and Mina)

Getting back on track though, the battle over a doll proceeds, BUT in a way you could say a fight over Ochako’s feelings happens.

3) Toga biting the AM doll while asking if Ochako likes Izuku could mean she’s biting down on Ochako’s feelings to hold them in her own strange way. Seeking validation that Ocha still has feelings, wanting to find that validation, hope, & nerves that Ocha’s feelings are slipping.
This is the calm before the storm and answers both questions that Toga asked:
“Ochako-Chan likes Izuku-kun, right?” & “Will they (the hero’s) kill me too?”

I have to hand it to Ochako.
She’s not focused on feelings — Toga is.
Ochako is driven to save hero’s and put a stop to these villains, and wanting to seek justice while having them take responsibility for their actions as Ocha tells Toga above.

Toga gets her answer which leads to her final point of realization:
Ochako no longer holds her feelings for Deku like she once did, AND Ochako won’t hesitate to stop her.
That’s when Toga begins to cry and tells Ochako she’s right and thanks her.

Toga even drops the the AM doll (Ochako’s feelings) on the dirty floor — not taking the doll with her like she seemed to be doing to hold on to the final piece of Ochako’s feelings for Deku, second to last piece that puts the nail in the coffin of Toga’s realization.
THIS is #2, where the interesting part is
Toga threw the doll on the ground when before she was SO HAPPY to have it, especially when she realized that it was Izuku’s.
Now that she knows the truth about Ochako’s feelings, she see’s the doll as nothing

Ochako, from the looks of it, doesn’t even realize what Toga was realizing and what her words meant.

If Hori is going down the path that we all think he’s going down... kacchako fam the hate has been totally worth it and I love every single one of you 
As of right now in the manga though, love and shipping is not important. There’s a war going on that these kids need to survive first!

In the official translation, Toga doesn’t ask Ochako is she likes Izuku... she says “Cuz I know you like, Izuku.”

Ochako is also very dismissive of Toga in this chapter too, especially when Toga takes a jab at Ochako’s feelings towards Izuku.

I don’t like the official translation here that much because to me it really downplays what Hori is trying to tell us while the unofficial translation conveys it perfectly.
No matter how you translate it, one message is perfectly clear: Toga used to think since they like(d) the same boy her and Ochako could talk about love, but since Ochako is not in “love” anymore they can’t.
The weight of it all draws Toga to realize her & Ocha aren’t the same.
