Started that season welcoming Kevin Durant to the warriors by ruining his debut with 35 points + 5 rebounds + 5 steals
Bullied Ben McLemore the 2 nights after and added 30 points + 5 assists + 5 steals
Scored 33 points on the blazers and locked up dame Lillard ( held dame to 16 points on 36% shooting)
scored his career-high ( 41 points) against the Cavs and outplayed LeBron James in his house. The Spurs were down by 5 points entering the 4th quarter and Kawhi took over and scored 12 4th quarter points + 6 OT points to win a close game for the spurs
coming off a tough loss to the bad Dallas Mavericks team, he took the anger to the MVP candidate Russell Westbrook with 36 points + 8 boards and blew out the thunder 108-94
battled Paul George and outplayed him badly in his house with 32 points + he came up clutch late in that game ( most casuals thought Paul George was better than him at that point)
Outplayed Paul George again with 31 points + 11 rebounds + a game-winner over him ( Held PG to 22 points on 28% shooting in that game)
Went to the Pelicans and smacked AD and Cousins ( twin towers) on the 1st night of back to back games ( yes, back to back) with 31 points + 6 assists + 3 steals + clutch plays to win that game. After that game, Alvin Gentry Compared Kawhi Leonard to Michael Jordan.
Welcomed another MVP candidate James harden and outmuscled him especially in the clutch ( both stars showed up with 39 points but Kawhi being clutch ( 17 4th quarter points) in that game proved that he was the real MVP)
The icing on the cake: welcomed LeBron James and outplayed him badly to prove that he was the best player in the world ( held Bron to 17 points on 41% shooting + made him fake an injury to get out of that nasty battle)
