3 reasons a FB user boycott will never work:
1. Most ppl don’t know Instagram & WhatsApp is FB.
2. People will say they’ve deleted FB & continue secretly using it.
3. Only FB will always know the true size/impact of a boycott, while we can only ever guess.

Not trying being negative or pessimistic when I say a FB boycott won’t work. It just objectively has 0% chance of success.
The only real threat to FB is a natural, long-term shift towards non-FB apps. In other words, an organic shift in consumer trends/behavior.

The ONLY way to “boycott” FB is to stunt their growth metrics. The ONLY way to do that is for advertisers to permanently move 10% of their ad budgets away from FB.
FB completely depends on you spending more w/ them over time, not less!

So a FB user boycott? It’s like huffing and puffing at a brick house. Save your energy. https://www.wsj.com/articles/facebook-fb-3q-earnings-report-2020-11603992607
