A bunch of armed Trump supporters gathered outside an Arizona polling center chanting Fox News Sucks is just...it’s way too perfect of a metaphor for where we are and where we’re going.
The Trump Cult will move beyond Fox News as they retreat into their own reality and choose a new Farther Right facilitator. It might be OANN/Trump TV. The question is whether the GOP follows them. All signs suggest they will.
I’ve talked about this, but the cult is about living aggressively in an alternate reality. When Fox doesn’t provide the necessary reinforcement, they’ll find it elsewhere. This moment in Arizona might be a really important, telling moment.
