The protected/unprotected lists for the Louisville NWSL expansion draft are out, and there are plenty of big names (including USWNT) available. That does NOT mean any are headed to Louisville per se, for combination of $ incentives and availability.

Few big surprises on these lists if you look at the rules & parameters. The headline will be: 'Harris, Heath, Krieger, Lloyd, Press, Rapinoe, Sauerbrunn' all available!' But each is a dare/risk in its own way for Louisville. Would they report? Do you build around young players?
I would not be surprised if Louisville selects zero USWNT players and takes the $150K allocation grant they would get for that. The cash incentive probably outweighs any desire to play hardball, take a big player who won't report and try to flip her back to the team.
