SMH at all my Berners, who after being shown this is a rigged oligarch pageant, not a democracy TWICE now, are talking about 2024 elections.

Have none of you heard of sisyphus?

How about Bart and the electric cupcake?

All that election $ needs to go into a general strike fund.
I ran out of space so used the dollar sign, but its about more than money. All the energy, resources, organizing, and HOPE that is squandered on this rigged game cannot be allowed any longer, please.
The question of funding/structuring an organized & effective Leftist movement, IMO already has answers [also see pinned]:

Building self-sustaining connected communities, b/c its relying on the capitalist systems that forces us to be forever co-opted.
So what does it look like? Well its income that frees people up to organize & do so w/o fear of losing their livelihood. This can come in many forms, every neighborhood has different needs & people of different skills. For some it might be a bakery, others an internet cafe. 1/2
2/2
Whatever the form, the model is a co-operative that fills a need in their neighborhood. That builds not only financial independence but creates & spreads the ideals thru local communities. Then imagine all these co-ops put into a general strike fund, Electoral campaigns, etc.
I'm just talking about what the Black Panthers were doing, essentially. Community empowerment. The govt didn't fear a few people with guns, so much as they feared the idea that we could, can, step right outside their false reality maze machine & do it by ourselves, for ourselves.
FWIW, I think electoral elements will come thru this process organically. With the added benefit of candidates being genuine community organizers w/real connection & trust w/their neighborhoods, creating unbreakable localized voting blocks that can naturally wield great influence
Politicians today are Celebrified.

If they've got you defending/projecting, the system's got you by the ego & its a mechanism for control.

They want the Left to desire that celeb culture, so busy looking for a way in to that we never step out & build our own collective power.
Electoralism their way, is detouring & bottle-necking millions of people into single individuals. Turning an ovrwhelming mass into isolatable, co-optable, and if all else fails easy to excise targets for assassination.

Build a base where we all share power, & they can't do shit.
Skipping the community building, the power base creation, to the part where we elect someone is basically trickle-down electoralism.

It hasn't worked, b/c its not meant to -for us-. That's the rigged game we gotta refuse to play. Change is never coming from a chosen elected few.
"Point being, if we truly want to change this system, then we can’t spend 4 years bickering ...when it will always be the same result. We need to [build] the systems that make the assholes obsolete, that make the system seem old and meaningless." https://consortiumnews.com/2020/11/30/lee-camp-we-cant-vote-em-out/
"Every day gives rise to a new demand. "Reform this," "reform that..." say the reformers.
Yet all know it is impossible...b/c everything is interrelated; Such periods demand revolution. It becomes a social necessity; the situation itself is revolutionary."

"Just do a #GeneralStrike" is sadly becoming a cliche from status quo defenders to staunch criticism of their idol politicians.

You don't just say General Strike 3x & click your heels; it requires serious planning & isn't a substitute for other actions. https://twitter.com/RiderOfKarma/status/1338266183712333825?s=20
