Is the 15k announced yesterday good? Yes its better than nothing obv.

We've scrutinised the announcements this year and as FAR as we can tell, a lot of the mhclg ÂŁÂŁ being quoted for 2020/21 was already announced in December 2019 by Johnson and has since been repackaged/brought forward and feels like announced many times.
Side bar factoid: the cold weather fund is only 10k when Johnson promised 13k
But we digress.
We do know that English councils alone spent ÂŁ91 million on homelessness during lockdown.
So ÂŁ15m is not going to cover it even when you take into account the other funding for the year, much of which REMEMBER was already committed for a 'normal' year

And FINALLY while we are here, we REFUTE the claim that two thirds of the 29000 people helped during everyone in have now moved on to settled accomodation
