VP Biden has been declared the victor yet, but I’m going to challenge all of these “doom and gloom” pieces about the lack of repudiation of Trumpism (if Biden indeed wins). Yes, we’re divided but if you have ANY experience outside of the bubble, you would already know that.
And yes, down ballot democrats vastly underperformed, gridlock is on the way, more culture wars, etc.

But here are some things to consider...
Beating an incumbent is VERY difficult, especially one with a manic following and the personality to drive that following to the polls. If Biden wins, this is no small achievement.
Also, I believe this is the FIRST time that any party is on the verge of having a female Vice-President elect. That’s a barrier potentially shattered and transformative for our American future.
Turnout was TREMENDOUS. The American electorate was engaged in a way I’ve never seen in my lifetime, or at least in the time I can remember.
GEORGIA might flip blue, and if it doesn’t it’s officially a SWING STATE.

Georgia. Think about that.

Georgia.
If you’re concerned about issues for people of color, well Trump over performed there and that means BOTH parties can’t take that electorate for granted. That bodes well for platforming actual solutions.
So yes. Still divided. I’m certain some replies to this thread will be examples of that, but if VP Biden does indeed win, we have a choice in front of us, as we did in this election.
We can decide to move towards solutions. We can keep fighting for our issues. We can stop demonizing empathy. I am hopeful.
