I'm... not exactly happy with that ending, not going to lie. Sheldon Creed absolutely deserves the title, but the way that went down left a bad taste in my mouth. The whole "Game 7 moment" narrative is totally broken. Game 7 moments are special because they're rare. 1/5
You can't just conjure them up when it's convenient. Let them happen on their own and they'll feel so much more special. If a title gets decided before the final race, so be it. 2/5
No other racing series has a playoff system, and I don't feel that any entertainment value is lost due to the lack of a postseason. I'm tired of trying to rationalize who is a "deserving" champion or not. I'm tired of the "what-ifs." 3/5
I'm tired of turning off the TV postrace feeling frustrated and drained. I'm beginning to see why so many in the sport believe this is not the way forward. I love NASCAR with every bone in my body. 4/5
I've watched darn near every national series race for the last nine years and I'm not here to tell you that I'm stopping. I'm not. I'm just here to vent, I suppose. This is championship weekend and I'm just plain not excited... 5/5
