I went through this thread and found it interesting. Her being tough on crime did affect black people. But unlike opinion pieces led us to believe it was more of a tough on crime rather than tough on black people situation. She didn’t even pass many of the laws being shared and in some cases made attempts to reverse/lessen them
In fact, her stance on many things seems complicated? It’s progressive with failures but the most shocking is seeing the longer clips of the short clips that were being shared around, context is key sha. That being said, I’m not for her but what a smear campaign
Why was it never made clear that she advocated for life prisonment to get rid of the death penalty, something she stood by even when an officer was killed and whole police force set on her? God, don’t let my enemies tell my story half way.

To be clear, I never said she was innocent and she is still problematic - her foreign policy, prison manual labour, slowing down a Supreme Court judgement to name a few. But there is an alarming lack of nuance and a lot of misinformation especially regarding black incarceration.
As I said, her past on many things seems complicated. Progressive in some areas but a failure in others but how did she become synonymous with mass black incarceration because the data is not adding. Her smear campaign seems easier because she is a woman of colour....
That initial thread also has a few inconsistencies in regards to truancy and cannabis but I’ll let you people do your own research. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk that no one asked for.
