Based on reports from orgs, UN bodies, and questions submitted in advance, we can expect to hear questions on family separation, systematic racism, juvenile justice, the US’s sad record ratifying and implementing human rights treaties, and much more. https://www.ohchr.org/EN/HRBodies/UPR/Pages/USindex.aspx
After today’s review, UN member states will make recommendations to the US to improve on its record or remedy violations. These recommendations are an opportunity to hold the US to its word to uphold justice, equality, and dignity for all. #UPR2020
