I’ve been working with this develper to incorporate a large @ooneepod bike parking in building for community use.

I’ve learned alot about project and community and think this is the wrong take (although I undestand the sentiment)

…this development is replacing a *fast food* resturant and is being built above the 4th Ave BMT.

It’s on 4th Ave, which is appropriate for density. If anything IMO it should be taller w/more affordable housing.

If we’re saying no to projects like these then IDK if...
…we can ever expect the private sector to develop affordable housing. The only alternative is the city paying for 100% the costs, which isn’t on the table rn.

Just fustraing because we have to learn how to say yes to good projects and no to bad ones…
