A little context for people to probably get to know me and the other Spurs fans who are from India or places outside Europe:
When I STARTED watching football, I didn't know that Spurs existed. Might sound weird, but this thread me being honest, to the fullest.
Kinda Emotional.

Some of you don't know the timezones. As a kid, WATCHING football in India was a luxury, you had to be lucky to be allowed to stay awake at 1:30 to watch a team play.
Sometimes, the kick-off timings are merciful, most of the times they're ruthless. I'm not kidding, ask anyone.

Of course, most parents don't let their kids stay up midnight and watch games. So I had to record games to watch them on 1.5x when I wake up and wait for the school bus. That's right, I used to watch a full-game in 20 mins in the morning, and slow the video to see the goals.
As I grew up, slowly the restrictions loosened, and I got to watch more games live on TV.
Now, when you're from India, the first set of teams you hear (a decade ago) are Man United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Barcelona.
Must state, I had no clue Spurs existed.

You feel like you're on a speed date, watching football because you love the game, but not being able to associate yourself with a club because you weren't a local born in there.
Just watching any "BIG GAME" because there were "BIG PLAYERS."
I watched A LOT, but cheered little.

Soon, you start watching a football club more because of individuals, because of special players. You feel that an individual's performance means more to you than the club's results.
Looking back, it's stupid, but what would a then 12-year-old from a Cricket Frenzy country know?

My maturity as a football fan didn't really grow until a few years back. I watched EVERY team play because I could while keeping a special eye on teams because of individuals.
And yeah, I got to know about this guy called Gareth Bale, he played for who? Tottenham Hotspur.

Bale's peak at Spurs is when I actually got to know of this club's existence. And he moved onto Real Madrid before I even got to know enough about Tottenham.
So a few years passed like this, and I went from making memes for Facebook pages (When FB was cool) to analysing football

90% of the Football fans from my country "think" they're FANS of clubs, but in reality, they're just watching for the sake of a few individuals. (I'll be in trouble if this thread bangs and ends up in the hands of my fellow Indian mates)
You can't really blame us though.
You can't really blame us though.
Once you ACTUALLY grow up, you'll realise that you "like" watching a club, but there'll be that "one team" that you genuinely love watching, no explanations, no reasoning, just love.
And for me, it "happened to be" Spurs, It just happened.

A lot of us don't know why we're fans of our football teams.
But I can tell you in general that you are a "SUPPORTER" of a football club if:
1: You're scared when your team is seeing out a lead.
2: The result deeply affects your day.
3: Your heartbeat races when you score.

I'm 21 now, and finally, I feel like I KNOW what it feels to SUPPORT and LOVE a club
Liking the style of play, or an individual (player/manager) is one thing
But, developing a deep feeling to a club to a point where it's on your mind for 95% of your day is a special emotion man

The kick-off timings are still fucked.
Sometimes we're lucky to have a 5:30PM IST kick-off,
But most of the times it's a 12:45AM/1:30AM kick-off.
And in addition to watching games, I also try to talk about them on Twitter.
Imagine going to bed at 4 after watching a loss?

Anyways, if you've read my waffling so far, thank you.
I will be honest, I'm not the "most AUTHENTIC Spurs fan" like some of you. Your parents took you to White Hart Lane since the time you're a kid.
But I promise you, I'm just as passionate as you are. I explain it further.

I hope you understand how hard it is for someone from a non-footballing country (India is a footballing country now, but not when I started watching)
