Since Joe Biden won and "nothing will fundamentally change", many of you have asked — how can I help the Green Party?

Here is a list of things you can do to help:

#LetsBulidGP (1/14)
1) Register Green: it's important that we grow our membership numbers nationwide. ( https://www.gp.org/register ) (2/14)
Some states' ballot access requirements require a certain % of the voter population being registered Green - if we fall below that %, we are at risk of losing ballot access in that state! (3/14)
One of the biggest drops in membership happened in 2016 when many Greens switched over to vote for Bernie but forgot to change back. Growing membership sends a message to the 2-party system: The Greens are growing and organizing to provide a real political alternative. (4/14)
(In states where there is no party registration, please become a member of your state party. ( https://www.gp.org/state_parties ) If you can't find your state party, leave a comment!) (5/14)
2) Get Local: All politics is local. In fact, 99% of our elected Greens won at the local level. Join a Local Green Party, have events, make goals, educate your community about different political options, and run local Greens in races where we have high chances of winning (6/14)
When more people know about the Green Alternative & what we stand for, that's the first step to them registering/voting Green!

If there is no Local Green Party Group, create or start a Local Green Party group in your community. https://www.gp.org/organizing_tools (7/14)
3) Get Involved In Your Community: Join a mutual aid group independent of partisanship in your community that provides for one another (e.g. tenants rights orgs, homeless service orgs, food pantry orgs, racial justice orgs, COVID assistance orgs, etc) (8/14)
People need to see you serving the community, not just yelling at everyone to "GO GREEN!" (even though we are the best political alternative 😉). Once your community sees you contributing and realizes "this person is a Green", they'll understand why (9/14)
4) Spread the Word: Let people know about our amazing platform, what we stand for, how many elected officials we have (120+ at the Local Level currently & over 1,200 in the history of the party), electoral victories that we've had like our new, 26 y/o Green mayor in CA (10/14)
...debunk myths or lies about the party like, we "only run every 4 years for president", and let people know about the barriers we face as a 3rd party so people can understand it's not as easy as people think (11/14)
5) Have Patience & Organize the Best You Can: Sometimes it can get frustrating when getting to know a new organization. Remember, nearly all Greens doing the work of party building are volunteers who also have full-time jobs and/or have families to take care of (12/14)
We don't have millions of dollars of corporate money like the other 2-parties. We're strong, but we are only around 240k+ registered Greens nationwide and people's level of involvement varies widely. That's where you come in (13/14)
You can join Green nat'l and state volunteer committees (but remember to have patience). If there are no committees or GP groups in your area, build the Green Party the best way you can: locally, in your state, nationally, or online. We are the ones we've been waiting for! (END)
