Took a serious break from social media these past few weeks and here’s what I learned:

1. My productivity went through the roof. Finished 15 new pieces and am now leaning a new instrument ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯

Kinda figured this might happen and am glad it did.
2. FOMO didn’t kill me. I had no idea what was going on down in the US and it was wonderful being so oblivious. Apparently I don’t need to know everything that’s going on every minute of the day. (Also, thx for not messing up the election, ‘Merica)

3. Better sleeps!
4. I miss my internet frenz and looking at floofs and artwork and all the funny stuff.

5. I don’t believe anyone noticed I was gone. Snuck outta the party when nobody was looking. Highly recommend.
6. As much as I love the internet, I didn’t realize how bad it often made me feel. Having an endless stream of inspiration seems like a great thing until you realize it’s paralyzingly you from actually making your own work.
7. If I didn’t need social media for self-promotion, getting new work, and keeping up w/ friends and avoiding complete isolation, I’d prolly burn it all down and wouldn’t regret it.
8. Aaaand that’s about it. Now I just gotta figure out a balanced internet diet that works for me. 2x a week? 15 mins a day? Post and then bounce? ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯

If you need me send a carrier pigeon or working dog, k thx ttyl✌️
