Your W.H.O. ‘Goodwill Ambassadors‘ still include:
Peng Liyuan, wife of Chinese dictator Xi Jinping & Major General in the People’s Liberation Army

Why, @DrTedros?
You may be asking why it is that out of nine @WHO "Goodwill Ambassadors," another one happens to be China TV's @JamesChau, a London-born graduate of Cambridge University who sold his soul to the Chinese Communist Party, using his WHO position to spread propaganda for Beijing.
To understand what happened, remember that in 2003, then WHO chief Gro Brundtland slammed China big time for hiding the SARS outbreak. http://nytimes.com/2003/04/07/international/asia/who-criticizes-china-over-handling-of-mystery-disease.html
So China came up with a brilliant plan....

Just 3 years later: “Chinese Candidate Margaret Chan is elected Director-General of the WHO. It is the first time a Chinese candidate is elected as chief of a UN agency. China attached great importance and extended full support to Chan's candidacy.…“ http://margaretchan.fmprc.gov.cn/eng/
Culture of corruption:
2011: Chan names Peng Liyuan as WHO Goodwill Ambassador—but omits that she's the wife of Chinese dictator Xi Jinping.

In 2016, Margaret Chan barred Taiwan from the WHO's annual forum, saying it violated the “one China” principle.
As a reward for all of this, China's regime appointed Chan to the Chinese Communist Party's top advisory body, the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.

When Ethiopia's former minister @DrTedros replaced Chan in 2017, he saw no reason not to follow Margaret Chan's example & exploit the WHO's global name.
So he quickly named his ally Robert Mugabe—then dictator of Zimbabwe—as "Goodwill Ambassador."
But we made him cancel that:
