I work at a COVID testing site in Denver and got word today that our positivity rate has been 22% these past two weeks. (was 3-6%)
Our appts are booked out 2 days in advance. People have sobbed to me about trying multiple state testing sites that have turned them away.

Nearly everyone we test now says they have been exposed to someone that’s positive. This is a far cry from a month ago.
We are witnessing a truly uncontrolled spread. People are desperate for tests, but state AND private testing is not currently able to meet the demand. (2/4)

I talked to a person today that wanted a test. She said she needed to get back to work. When I asked, she said she had many symptoms though.
Another person told me they had been exposed to people at a party that tested positive. But they had plans to go see family out of town..

This virus is not a joke. Cancel your plans, wear your mask WHENEVER you are around people. Respect the risks that essential workers are forced to face.
We need our leaders to take this pandemic seriously.
