I've come to terms with Unus Annus ending and I was gonna save like five videos for myself but I realized that:
A) I would literally never watch them
B) There would be no way to replicate what I originally got from the videos when they were posted

There's no way I could replicate the laughter, that excitement of when I got that notification, and the connections I felt reading the comments. It's not possible. And even if fifteen years went by and I had forgotten it all, I still wouldn't be able to replicate it.

And thats the point right? Its why even though the archives are there, its not special because there are no stakes. & yeah FOMO and loss suck but its also about feeling that hurt but making the most of it? It's not the loss you have to focus on, its what you DO have.

The moral is LIFE really. The human EXPERIENCE.

The point is that there is no point but there are infinite points. The point is that Unus Annus was happy, sad, loving yet heartbreaking, and stupid but the smartest thing ever. Its about living and dying and how if we could do it all over again we both would and wouldnt.

It's contradictions and paradoxes and it's messy but neat and beautiful but ugly because LIFE is all those things. WE are all those things. Individually and collectively as humans.

The way we all laughed together, the way we cried together, the way we were connected, the way we were different, the way we are all excited but scared for the end. The way that we all watched those videos and came away with something different.

For some, it was just Mark/Ethan messing around, For some, it was meticulously planned with extensive lore, For some, it was saving every single video and missing the point, but knowing it at the same time, For some it was nothing, For some it was everything.

The way some of us will forget in a week, some of us will forget in months, some of us will forget in years, and some of us will never forget.
It's the way that I have accepted UA's death fully but there is someone somewhere in the world sobbing about it.
