Idaho COVID thread, because the narrative is out of control. Our governor's press conference today is irresponsible and frankly disgusting. He brought out a patient who had pretty bad and anomalous COVID experience to stoke fear in Idahoans. In addition, he wore a cloth mask...
and cloth masks dont work:
They referenced Ada county as a good example, but Ada has a mask mandate that started July 15th
, AND Ada has the highest COVID count in Idaho.

I could not find the data, I think it has been taking down because it is embarrassing for them, but over half the deaths (56%) in Idaho happened in long-term elderly care facilities.
Math time: 749 deaths have been connected to COVID (with? or from?...they don't care) and 602 of those deaths are from the age demo of 70yrs old and above. Simple calculation gets you over 80% of the deaths in Idaho have come from 70 years old and above. https://public.tableau.com/profile/idaho.division.of.public.health#!/vizhome/DPHIdahoCOVID-19Dashboard/Home
Obvious conclusion that I have been saying from the jump. Take care of the elderly, and one of the best ways to do that, is for the healthy population to build herd immunity. As my friend Dr. Jay Bhattacharya said: "herd immunity is not a strategy, it is a biological fact". End.
