BJP is, for all practical purposes, what its party name states. BHARATIYA - as in Indian (by citizenship, not by any other measure)

It, however, must be told that the Hindus, even when lulled, galvanized themselves into a consolidation and/or revivalist mode. Due to which, there is a lot of clamour for saffronization, Sanatani roots getting rekindled, practises being eulogized and the like.

BJP took advantage of the situation. Hindus leveraged BJP (unwittingly, I'd hasten to add).
However, going forward, to expect BJP to be helpful to Hindu causes is futile, the acclaimed Chanakya Neeti notwithstanding.

The emotional Hindu has ascribed to BJP and its leadership the greatness of Hindu Hriday Samrat and the like. It is downright foolish and absolutely suicidal, IMHO.

Let me, for what it is worth, make this clear
I am not against BJP - I am against trusting them blindly to further Sanatani causes. They are a prisoner of their circumstances & the fence around them (laid by themselves) forces them to be so.

That brings no harm for them. But there is something I have been telling myself: use them strategically or tactically, as it suits you. In the process, make sure that you don't let the bigger enemy get in!
