1/ Reading 1 Samuel 23 today. Noted something interesting. David and his men went to Keilah and repelled the Philistines attacking it.

When Saul found out about it he says in v7, "God has delivered him (David) into my hand".

Note the perverted thinking...
2/ Samuel tells Saul that he and his line will not rule Israel, and then David is anointed by Samuel as the new king. The Holy Spirit departs from Saul as God removes His blessing and an evil spirit oppresses Saul (1 Sam 16:14).

Saul has clearly been rejected by God as king.
3/ What is profoundly eye-opening is that Saul is clearly opposed by God, yet thinks that God is helping him to kill the king that He anointed to replace Saul.

He has been given a reprobate mind.

We will see Saul in heaven, but this shoes you the depths that a Christian can...
4/...sink into darkness when they live in sin.

Here is a modern day example of Christian reprobate thinking:

"Christians can vote Democrat because they will decrease (not abolish) abortion."

This isn't true, nor is giving man birth control & condoms to practice immorality...
5/...a way to honor God. Sin only begets more sin. Sin cannot eradicate sin, only righteousness can expose & eradicate evil.

There are Christians today who have the mind of Saul. Their conscience has been seared by their constant rebellion against God. Their mind is reprobate.
