We continue to tell little girls that they can be whatever they want when they grow up. But we have yet to remove the gendered expectations and barriers that keep them from achieving those big dreams.

We have to remove the asterisk that you can be whatever you want as long as you marry, have children, put dinner on the table, keep a clean house, be involved in your children’s activities, make time to workout, and never miss a friend’s birthday.
