ok, bear with me. anti-racism/anti-white spuremacy is part of 'progressive agenda' NOT liberal. bill clinton played his cards-he figured nothing he did would turn black people against the D party. so he 'reached out' to moderate conservatives with promise of white supremacy-
i.e. three strikes and your out, personal responsibility legislation, welfare restrictions, etc--time to stop whining abt injustice and take personal responsibility.
progressive/radical leftists did not give up their anti-racist/white supremacist agenda. 'liberals' have LONG distanced themselves from anti-racism. period.
what is the one clear, striking, unambiguous difference between trump and biden? biden embraced an anti-white supremacist stance, probably the first time the D party has done so since I've been a part of political world--probably since jimmy carter, i'd speculate.
Ds offered nothing else that was qualitatively different than what they always offer. even biden's 'covid plan' wasn't pre-election that well developed--just talk to states about implementing mask mandates.
the one thing that they offered that was different than usual was clear unambiguous 'we are against white supremacy.'
which is progressive/radical leftist ideal. and somehow--we got 5 MILLION more votes than Rs. 5 MILLION more votes. that's not a little amount. progressive/radical leftist stance didn't just win this election, it kicked ass in this election. buuuut....
somehow now Ds are all falling apart sobbing over progressives destroying the party? and giving the election to Rs?
the one place Ds put any money into was the presidential election--and we unequivocally beat the very very best that republicans have ever had to offer.
what would happen if we started putting that sort of work and investment into the down ballot races?
i mean, my god, Pete Buttigieg should already have a permanent office in west michigan. he should be offering workshops and classes on how to organize small scale progressive churches.
of course, the fact that he isn't set up and Ds aren't even talking about how to do that work, suggests to me that they WONT do that work, probably bcz they don't know how, but mostly bcz they just plain and simple refuse to.
