Does anyone think Jikook presenting as a healthy couple, could be a reason many toxic T/K fans oppose it?
This is of course hypothetical, bcuz I do not know if they’re dating, but speaking about wanting some fans to stop imagining T/K as a crappy relationship, led me here.

Hypothetically:
JM and JK went from strangers to coworkers to friends to lovers. At least that’s what the assumption is. Meaning, they’ve seen each other through every up, down, and sideways emotion imaginable, yet nearly a decade on, they’re still incredibly close.

They spend a lot of time together, seemingly more than the others. They travel together. They talk about each other the most. The guys have consistent nonplused reactions to their behavior, and etc.
There’s nothing negative to the idea of romantic Jikook.

In comparison, the seemingly most common T/K theory, is that Tae and JK constantly go back and forth trying to make each other jealous, or apologize. They’re also allegedly heavily closeted and have little freedom to express their love, as they are constantly separated.
For those who ship this version of T/K, everything is negative. They can’t be near each other on stage. Namjoon aids in them being pulled apart. JK intentionally makes Tae upset. Tae ices JK out until he apologizes. Tae needs constant consoling bcuz of JK’s actions. And so on.
So my question is:
Is it fair to wonder if a seemingly lack of struggle, is why some fans (ones who don’t irrationally hate JM and JK) don’t think Jikook could be together?
Bcuz again, hypothetically, where Jikook is now, shows a couple who seemingly cleared their hurdles.

I’m not saying ppl think they had it easy, but it’s possible ppl believe the development of their relationship has been too easy, to be real.
For ex. Some fans believe all of T/K’s major struggles as a couple, are public, while their intimacy is private.

On the other hand, ppl believe Jikook are too public about their intimacy, therefore it must be fake.
And now I’m guessing here, but I assume the possibility of Jikook going through a private struggle leading to them being open, is not something some ppl are willing to consider.

As I’ll keep saying, T/K fans are not obligated to ship Jikook. They are not obligated to consider anything, but if imagining T/K struggling on a world stage is the apex of their argument, I can only assume that anything less than sadness, is viewed as unrealistic.
Which is why the idea of closeted and repressed T/K, is more appealing than Jikook’s blatant openness.
Again, however, this is all hypothetical. I simply wanted to present the question, bcuz having thought deeper about it, it makes the most sense to me.
