Here's the thing about big transphobic books: They will get kids killed. They have gotten kids killed.
Does that sound hyperbolic? It isn't. Here's why.

The rate of suicide attempts among trans teens is SHOCKINGLY high. Over 50 percent of trans boys. Over 40 percent of non binary teens. Nearly 30 percent of trans girls.
This is, of course, horrific. But it's also preventable. https://www.hrc.org/news/new-study-reveals-shocking-rates-of-attempted-suicide-among-trans-adolescen

When your book claims transness is an epidemic seducing teens, what you're doing is telling parents to reject their kids' identity. You are actively reducing the odds of family acceptance. You are increasing the odds of suicide.
So if a trans person suggests (in jest OR seriously) that people should steal and burn your book, I get that. And I support it. As much as I love books, I value human lives over them. Any day of any week.
